Maintenance tips from Neil

• In the fall, have your headlights aligned. You see better without blinding oncoming cars.
• Replace your wipers, night driving in the rain is easier when your wipers don't smear.
• Keep you windshield washer bottle filled with WINTER washer fluid.
• Have your antifreeze checked for proper strength, it should be good to -35 degrees Celsius.
• Get your battery and charging system checked so your not left stranded when the cold weather makes it harder to start your car and run with all those accessories on.
• Carry good heavy duty jumper cables. You never know when you or someone else could use them.
• Check your heater and defroster for proper operation.
• If your rear window defogger has some lines that don't work they can be repaired.
• Have your tires checked for good winter driving ability.
• If your car had some trouble starting or running the wet, cold winter will only make it worse. It could be time for a tune up.
• A winter emergency kit is a good idea. Any small bag or back pack with a blanket, gloves, toque, snack bars, flash light, heavy socks and winter boots. Remember the storm of 1996.

This is what happens to the inside of your engine when you go past your reccomended oil change interval. The oil actually begins to thicken and starts to stick to everything, plugging up oil passages inside your engine.
